The beginning of something really beautiful! I loved the characters, the story, just everything about this story. Yeah, Travis drove me crazy at times but, then again, so did Pigeon!! I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this fab romance. I'm not usually one to read out of order -- but I couldn't resist reading "A Beautiful Wedding" and then I knew without a doubt I would be reading each of the "Beautiful" books and so it is. ...more

Wow.....after finishing the whole book I still feel quite disturbed by it. Its not like the story is bad or anything....plus it does have a good ending.
I find Travis kinda obsessive from beginning to the end and Abby.....I don't know....she have some serious mood swing problems. Having both main characters coming from a problematic backgrounds may seem imperfect to all round them but they are actually perfect for each other (*that is if you set aside the ridiculous disturbing personalities they ...more

I'm probably going to regret the lack of sleep from tonight, but I just couldn't continue this constantly starting and stopping, I was making myself crazy.

What a freaking whirlwind ride, this book was. And as crazy as it made me, I loved it. Yes, I wanted to pull my hair out half the time, but hey since Abby and Travis were making themselves crazy, why shouldn't I go crazy as well...HONESTLY, I loved it.

Ok 4.8 stars.
the only thing stopping this book from being the 5 starts its really deserves, is how many time they broke up. and now resistant Abby was to get back together with him. It was much better near the end when she just accepted it, and let herself be loved by Travis.

This book was not what I was expecting at all. I even put off reading it because of that fact. But I sure am glad that i sucked that shit up and read it, because it was truly amazing, and the thanksgiving dinner broke my hea ...more

Well this book is truly what the title means a disasters and beautiful at the same time. This book is different from other books I have read, its not high school bit college and I haven’t read anything that has to do college. I guess its also I haven’t found any really. This book is full of drama with friendship and relationship also . This book made me cry made my heart ach and I also couldn’t stomach some parts in this book.
I both loved and hate Travis there was a few time that Travis made me Well this book is truly what the title means a disasters and beautiful at the same time. I both loved and hate Travis there was a few time that Travis made me truly sick and the part where he had a threesome (if you don’t know what that means then please ask your parents) I couldn’t stomach and God Knows that it was hard for me to forgive him. But he did redeemed himself so maybe in away Abby did would have and did have and ran but there came a time that you cant keep doing that you have to learn that you have to fight. Abby kept her past from the one she loved even if she said she’s trying to move on, she the one that make her past come back to her. She is able to change the future to make sure that the past doesn’t happen again, so in away at was her problem, but I was very surprised her and Travis, friendship was so cute, but you where able to tell they where falling for each other. But I also understand why Abby didn't want to fall for him cause his the type that only wants one night stands and she didn't want to fall. I would have been the same, But Abby was right for him and him for her. I did feel really really bad for Parker he was so sweet and I liked him for her at the first but his not so exciting for her not like Travis, so I did feel bad him. For her other friends Finne, I loved him but sadden when I found out his guy (cause I really really liked him that way not in a bad by of course he was just hot) he was so sweet, kind and seem so straight. Its always the cool hot guys that have to turn gay (Well I ones that I feel to fall for) so that sucked.
Abby’s best friend America was a really good friend but she toke what was going on with Abby’s love and throw it on her amazing boyfriend and that really pissed me off like really bad.
But like amazing boyfriend he was he put up with that, Now that’s a true love not a lot of 19 teens know what that is. But all in all it was a ok book not really sure I would re-read it maybe those parts that’s I bookmarked maybe bit the ending is amazing.
I really excited for the rest of this series to see what will happened next.
Im not sure that I would recommend it maybe to a few but those who is under 18 you should ask your parents, but that’s just me but all in all I do give it a nice star rating. I will be looking into more books by Jamie McGure and see what else she has
Oh if anybody knows more with College books then please throw them my way till nest time

I heard so incredibly much about this book before starting it. Mostly everything I heard about this book was amazing. But there was one thing I heard about this book that I also found quite aggravating. I will get into that later though. As far as New Adult goes, I felt like this book was pretty tame. I actually felt like it was more along the lines of YA. It did have some mature themes, but I really didn’t get the same feeling from it as I have from other New Adult titles. Jamie is a wonderful I heard so incredibly much about this book before starting it. Mostly everything I heard about this book was amazing. But there was one thing I heard about this book that I also found quite aggravating. I will get into that later though. As far as New Adult goes, I felt like this book was pretty tame. I actually felt like it was more along the lines of YA. It did have some mature themes, but I really didn’t get the same feeling from it as I have from other New Adult titles. Jamie is a wonderful writer though she has a very clear style, and a really powerful voice.

The story was good, but I didn’t find it to be a huge attention grabber. This falls into play with the part of the book that aggravated me. It’s hard to wrap my head around some of the choices made in this book be some of the characters. First, I just want to say that there is a situation in this book that proves that money speaks a lot louder than common sense. Now that might not be the case with all people, but when you’re dealing with money involving six figures like comes into play with this book it seems to block the common sense of one of the characters. I really did enjoy the story though, I just wish I didn’t dislike certain things so much.

What I disliked has no bearing on my overall of this book. It all really came down to my personal opinions on certain things. I didn’t really feel like it took away from the book, and having finished it I can see why Jamie wrote it the way she did. One of the most annoying things for me by far was the relationship between Abby and Travis. I had heard from several people about how bad this relationship was… But oh my goodness, I couldn’t stand Travis. I thought he was a total jerk, and made so many bad choices. And I really didn’t like how he treated Abby, but then again she stuck around for most of it. Which was also quite annoying. And I also really disliked his nickname for Abby.

Aside from disliking the actual relationship, everything has its place. There is a reason for everything even when it comes to a lot of the more annoying parts of their relationship. I just wish it would have been more of a healthy and enjoyable relationship. I am interested to see things through Travis’s eyes in Walking Disaster though. But I feel like I am going to get angry at some things, even if I do feel like I will enjoy the book overall.

Beautiful Disaster is a great read, and well worth checking out if you’re looking for a good New Adult title. I really wouldn’t recommend this one to start out with if you’re new to New Adult though, only due to the relationship in this book. It might make you want to scream at certain points. But don’t let that stop you from reading the book. Like I said above, everything in this book really does have a reason. And even though you want to get angry sometimes, I feel like that is what was wanted when it came to certain scenes. So if this book sounds like one you might enjoy, make sure that you check it out. ...more

This book was something else! I would give it 5 stars but it was a little much at times and ran a little longer than was needed. What an unhealthy relationship yet you find yourself hoping it will all work out for them. I plan on reading more in the series..especially the one told from the point of view of Travis.
