Prodigy was much different than Legend. It was no doubt very action packed but I didn't find myself enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the Legend. The story revolves around June and Day trying to free the Republic from the Elector's wrath. Public has started supporting Day and he suddenly becomes a Hero in this book from a wanted Street Con. It starts from them joining the Patriots and them joining the patriots makes all the difference. It all depends upon their decisions. June struggles with her health in this book. There's more of Day in this book as far as I think. June is mere a support for Day to move ahead with the plans.
Meanwhile Anden struggles with being a young Elector. He needs Public support which Day has and for which he's ready to do anything possible. And moreover he struggles with the Senators and the Congress.
This book undoubtedly very finely describes the happenings in Politics and how the authorities cross any limits to gain the powers which they aren't supposed to. And how only the common people are affected badly.
As far as June and Day are considered and their Romance. I don't think so that they love each other, there's lust no doubt and they make a very good team. They both think alike, June is knowledgeable and Day knows the masses. They fit together and admire each other. As far as love is concerned, I don't think it exists between them. I was convinced in the first book but in this one they've had many differences. For June I feel more bad than Day, he has Eden and Tess but for June no family is left and all on whom she can rely upon is Day.
We lost a very bubbly and precious character in this book, I won't reveal the name (no spoilers) but I'll miss that character in the next book.
This is a action packed book and it contains good action, story is ok ok, not much to look forward to. Few parts are very predictable. But if you've read the first book you'd want to read this one. It consists of revelations that'll affect the fate of Republic. ...more

First, like everybody else who read this book, I was literally crying in the end. The word amazing is an understatement to describe this book. I'm just really glad that the 3rd and last book is out because I am ready to read it like right now in the middle of the night. I don't care, I MUST KNOW what the hell is going to happen. ...more

Prodigy by Marie Lu was an excellent book. In my personal opinion, it is much, much better than the first one. This story has a deeper and almost darker side to it, questioning each character's trust with each other, breaking both hearts and promises alike. Prodigy was amazing and I loved nearly every second of it. Or every letter...

Wow! This is one of the few series I have read where the second one is as good as the first! I can't wait to read the third one! *SPOILER* *SPOILER* Although I wish Day had just told June that he was dying instead of saying that "it wouldn't work out between them". UGH!!!! THEY ARE SO TOTALLY MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!!! I'm sure that in the third book though his illness will be cured and him and June will live happy together forever. ...more
