DNF at 30%, because patience isn't my virtue.

It's unpopular opinion time, people (plus a story!!!).

Towards the end of my senior year in high school, we weren't doing anything much in any of my classes. We took all our finals early, so there wasn't anything else for us to do except count down the days till we could finally graduate and get the hell out of school. In the meantime, most of my teachers showed us movies to hold our attention (basically, the last two weeks of school was 6 period of wa

This is the type of book you'll remember months from now. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken is so well put together. The plot twists and turns more than roller coaster. This book had me laughing so hard my sides hurted, one moment, and the next I was balling my eyes out. It's a must read.
5 Reasons To Read The Darkest Minds:
1. The world building is like no other.
2. The plot! The plot!! The plot!!!
3. Strong set of characters
4. Alexandra Bracken's writing is incredibly vivid, and simply beauti

What an amazing read. Best book so far of 2013. It pulled me in right away and I could not put the book down. But the world itself was not the best part, even if it was a good and interesting world and idea. The best about the book though, was the character by far. I loved the characters and they are for sure one of my favorite book characters. Love Ruby, she is very strong and very believably. Liam is like the perfect guy, southern accent and just amazing. Their relationship was one of the best ...more

The book starts off with Ruby when she was ten. Depending on you power you where put into groups of color: Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red. Red being the most dangerous of them all. Ruby is an Orange hidden away as green. She uses her power to trick them. The thing about Ruby is she could never control her power ..well more like never tried. She was more scared of her self then anything else. She can read peoples minds and even take away their memory’s. She tries her best to never touch peop ...more

I don't know why but I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book or not and I didn't really have that good expectation of what this book was going to be like. However I must admit I was completely wrong I absolutely loved this book even though I was not expecting it. This book was able to enthral me with the story line with very likeable characters. I especially liked a main character who wasn't necessarily that strong and especially towards the beginning was not courageous at all which is ve ...more

I loved it, especially Liam, I really hope their is a sequel because their is no way it can end with....THAT kind of an ending. I thought Clancy made the book better but just that much more devious and evil, bringing the title darkest minds. don't trust Clancy, don't trust phsycotic oranges. I mean in the end even ruby was acting a little strange. ...more
