As I started reading Altered, I knew this was going to be an easy book to get into; I was right. Altered was like candy to me, fun and addicting. The story picked up right away and I couldn't devour the book fast enough. It was filled with action, mystery, and suspense, it also had light humor' which made it a quick read. 3.5 stars I was gonna give this one 4 stars but I changed my mind while reading the rescue/escape plot at the end. It was so lame, I thought all characters were stupid. And I dont understand why this is labeled as dystopia book when it definitely isnt.Sci-fiction; maybe I would have bought but this one I dont

Anna lives with her father and four boys. The four boys, Cas, Trev, Sam, and Nick, all reside in their own individual cells in the basement of Anna's house, as a part of The Branch.

The book was good and entertaining enough to make me want to finish it. But it lacked something, I did not care for either of the boys really.. Which is one of the reason why I bought the book, because I thought it might be fun with a book with many boys and one girl. But no.. they seemed flat to me somehow, even if at times I liked them. That was what the whole book was really, it had glimpses of exciting and really good parts, and then it just turned to okay again. It reminded me of Prison bre ...more
