AHHH! I liked this book so much!!! Let me tell you. It has been a loooong time since I have so interested and so invested in a book such as this one. Everyone should pick it up and read it immediately! I loved all the characters. They each have their own unique personality and I loved all of them for the most part. I am SO excited for the second book! It's killing me that I have to wait for so long but I am officially a devoted fan of the Altered series and will make sure to read the second one ...more

3.5 stars I was gonna give this one 4 stars but I changed my mind while reading the rescue/escape plot at the end. It was so lame, I thought all characters were stupid. And I dont understand why this is labeled as dystopia book when it definitely isnt.Sci-fiction; maybe I would have bought but this one I dont

I didnt have high expections about this book so I decided to check out the prequal first to see whether I'd like characters or not but OMG worst idea ever!!!It basically gave away too many things about this book! Where was my mind?!

I loved the plot, I adored the characters but I've had problems with a lots of stuff.Its not a bad reading but some stuff was really predictable and I didnt like how they were handled.For example, I really really rolled my eyes and wanted to stop reading this book when they decided 'randomly going to Branch's headquarters and threating to leak information about what the company was doing' would save their asses.I mean seriously, what did you expect, of course thats not a good plan!!!

Also another problem I had was; while I liked Sam I didnt see any spark between him and Anna. There are a few interesting moments and there is a potential there but I didnt think 'OMG, they belong together' for even a second.But I liked how romance was handled.

And Anna is an interesting character to read.She spends 4 years looking after boys/helping her father and then when its too much she helps them escape.She is a great character because she basically gave up everything for a boy, Sam, but she knows this and she owns it. She questions herself, she questions whats happening, she questions Sam but its ok because all of it is done wonderfully.Most of the YA main cahracters would have came as annoying but she doesnt.She doesnt whine.She is capable of looking after herself.She is a kick-ass.A little too innocent for my taste (at the beginning) but its understandle because she was being manipulated too

Of course all of these doesnt mean there werent any shocking moments.There were a few of them and I'm not gonna spoil them for anyone but the 'undercover' plot was awesome, I so didnt expect that :) ...more

Omg this book was spectacular!! I love it!!! All the Chara tees where amazing and believable!!! Truly awesome! I loved every single one of them!

Anna has 4 incredibly hot guys in her basement! They are part of an experiment. There's Cas who is funny and cute, Trev her best friend who knows her inside and out, Nick who is just a plain jerk and then there's Sam. He can read her jut by looking at her, even just her presence in the room, they have a special connection.
