What Members Thought

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, is about two of the most unexpected people, trying to survive in an abandoned planet. Lilac LaRoux is the only child of the richest man in the universe and Tarver Merendsen, is a young soldier famous for becoming a hero. As the sole survivors of the crash, Lilac and Tarver have to cooperate for each other's survival in a planet full of secrets. These Broken Stars surely is a good sci-fi read with banter on the side.

Absolutely brilliant. My initial thoughts when I first discovered These Broken Stars was: That sounds similar to Under the never sky by Veronica Rossi: Dual POVs with two personalities that clashes, A female character who's accustomed to a life of luxury and privileges who discover a whole new world...And to be honest, that's exactly why I picked up that book. I thought the story was good. Tarver was really easy to love. Lilac was a pain in the behind, but i guess it can be justified. She was raised a spoiled brat. She definitely grows up when the ship they were on crashes. Tarvor definitely helped her grow up. She could've used a few slaps, but he sure as hell didn't treat her like a princess. She had to toughen up a bit.
