Matt Archer is your average high school freshman, until he's attacked by a monster and finds out he's not. Average, that is. He's still 14, and has to cope with all the trials of school (& girls!) that come with that.
There are a lot of things I love about this book:
1) It's young adult, and there's no swearing. It may not mean much these days, but I was glad to read a story where even the adults manage to curb their language around kids. I certainly try to.

I'm an adult who loves reading young adult and middle grade books, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to reading it with my son when he is old enough to enjoy it as well. Kendra Highley did a great job of making me laugh throughout the story, which was action-packed and kept me turning pages to the end. Look out Buffy Summers! Here comes Matt Archer, Monster Hunter! This book is such a fun read and I really enjoyed it. Kendra Highley has written a great new series that both guys and girls will enjoy.
