I waited for this book as much as I had waited for any other. At first when it came out, I was going to boycott the kindle price being over 9.99, but this holdout couldn't last. I loved The Passage, even the long, so-called laborious parts. All of it. But I just couldn't finish The Twelve. I got half way through and kept pushing, and pushing, and pushing. The Twelve was an epic, post-apocalyptic "neo-vampire" tale with at least 21 main characters and 3 settings. This is the kind of book that it would really serve the reader to take notes on. There are so many approaches one can take when reviewing a book. The agent, Brad Wolgast, takes on a very different role in this book then in the passage. In this book he is (view spoiler) . I wish I could give half ratings, because really this book was a 2.5 stars for me. I loved The Passage, it was the best book I had read in a while, but this one was really disappointing. I didn't even know this story was going to be a series and when I picked this up in a book shop, I couldn't beleive there was another one.
