Set in a little Southern town after the untimely deaths of Emerson's parents , Hourglass, is the perfect mix of sad, spooky and fun. Emerson isn't crazy, but everyone thinks she is and maybe she's beginning to believe that too. Oh time travel can be so much fun. I felt so bad for Emerson at points but I absolutely loved her sarcastic replies to almost everything. It was also nice to see that she did have vulnerable moments. The characters in the book were great. Her brother and sister in law are so supportive and loving; it was really nice to see that.

Michael seemed so up and down with how he felt about Emerson. No matter how hot the guy is, yo-yoing her feelings was not his best plan. I felt so bad for her when he wou ...more

There is just something about Emerson that made me realy like her. Maybe it was her sense of humor, or her innocence, or just the heavy burden that she carried on her shoulders each and every day. But I knew I liked her from the very first pages. Oh ya Michael and Kaleb kinda helped too!
