Inside Out is book one in the Insider series by Maria V Snyder. This story is about the world of 'the inside'. This world is filled with Upper and Lower levels. We learn that the upper levels and lower levels are kept separate and fed untruths about one another to keep them from joining forces against the controllers and the security teams, also known as Population Police or Pop Cops.
