Good hero, lame romance. Great mythology. It was distracting trying to parse bean sidhe into "ban-shee" every time it came up, but I'm sure I'll be over it by the time the next book comes out. And I *will* read the next book, for sure. A good kickoff for Harlequin Teen.

This book has been sitting on my shelf forever, and I finally picked it up and it's amazing! For some reason I feel like certain books are more of a priority than others, even though the ratings aren't as good. And then it turns out that I should have read the higher-rated one first. But c'est la vie! I'm just glad I decided to read this one, even though I should have read it sooner. I love Vincent's writing, and Kaylee is a very likeable character. This book is fantastic. I'm so happy I found it at the library, I think this is the beginning of an awesome series. I love mythology, and the way it is intertwined in this book allows the reader to learn about it, as well as the characters. Kaylee and Nash are characters you can root for as they navigate their way through this new world they have found themselves a part of. Likewise, Todd is great!
