So, despite some crazy mixed reviews for this one, I decided to read this book before I see the movie. I cannot resist a movie involving Alex Pettyfer in any way shape or form. And so since I'm going to see the movie, I'm read the book that spawned it! Really enjoyed it! Very quick read. I was hooked right at the beginning of the book, and it was fast paced. Loved Bernie Kosar! Although marketed as Young Adult, it almost reads like Middle Grade or at least on the younger side of the YA scale.
Narrator did an excellent job at using unique vocalizations to identify each character, but I think he made Sam sound like too much of a doofus and Sarah was a bit breathy.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I intend to watch it.
