Let's start with the good:
~I love the concept of time travel and finding your true love in a whole other era. There's a lot of mystery to this story and I'm really excited to see where it's going. I mean, talk about a cliffhanger!
~Good historical references. I think the era's were represented well enough.
~The romance, of course. It did annoy me that it was like immediate love-infatuation, especially since it isn't explained what draws them to each other, just that it should be accepted. But the Let's start with the good:

But the moment Michele and Phillip had were simply divine, and I couldn't help wishing I was in her place. I think it's the blue eyes that always get me.
~ I met the author and she's really sweet. The parts that she read from her book were some of the best parts where I think her writing was at its best.

Okay, now the bad:
~The one thing that really ticked me off was that there was at least one exclamation mark per page. Yes, we get that you're excited, but that can be explained in words outside the quote.
~The writing was mediocre. I felt there was so much more that could have been described in the settings. Especially in the end, I felt like she was jumping around, not giving it a chance to have a dramatic ending. It's like she wrote the ending, then didn't go back to make it more interesting for the reader.
~Most of the other characters besides Phillip and Michele's grandfather Walter were sort of one-dimensional. I didn't care what happened or is going to happen to them. In fact, I didn't care all that much when something happened to her mother.
~I think this author has a lot to work on to be honest. This novel had so much potential and I feel like it fell flat. At times it felt rushed, and I didn't want to be rushed through anything. Despite her choppy writing I was enjoying the story, and then suddenly she was in one time or another, or something was happening out of the blue. By the time the end of the novel came, I didn't know which way was up and which was down. But I have to admit, the final couple paragraphs make me definitely want to pick up the next one. I read upto around 160 pages in and I was so bored. I kept forgetting there was any mystery aspect at all. And the instalove was rediculous
