Ok this is a hard one for me to rate. The first 200 so pages were not my cup of tea, but the last 100 were amazing. Gotta think this one over a bit before I write my review

I can’t help but mention the Hunger Games while writing this review of Fire & Flood. Major aspects of these two books are very similar and I feel that’s why Fire & Flood has not been given its fair chance. Just because a book has some similarities to the Hunger Games doesn’t mean it has to be a bad book. Fire & Flood is probably one of my favorite books of this year so far and I found myself more emotionally invested than I have been in a really long time!

I am so happy I read Fire&Flood, because they seriously weren't kidding when they said it was fantastic for fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and all my other favorite books. What sets this book apart though, is the stakes are more personal than the others. Tella's brother is dying from an illness no one has a cure for..or even knows what it is.. She is invited to the Brimstone Bleed to compete for a cure. They will fight across various ecosystems, with horrible obstacles, enemies, etc.-much
