Katniss woont samen met haar Moeder en haar zusje Prim in district 12. Op een dag treft Katniss president Snow thuis aan. Het blijkt dat in een aantal districten een opstand dreigt te komen. Katniss moet binnenkort samen met Peeta een toer langs alle districten maken. President Snow dreigt om haar vriend Gale te vermoorden, als ze niet probeert de opstanden te voorkomen.

First of all, I listened to the audiobook version of this book, and again I hated the narrator (the same one from the first book). I just can't take her voice and her acting. But as for the book itself, I enjoyed the plot, but was underwhelmed by the delivery. There is just something about the author's writing style that I find lukewarm, not enough. However, I did like it enough that I am moving forward to read the last book. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I again feel it will be one of the v
