What Members Thought

I thought the ending was pretty weak & anticlimactic. In fact, this whole book is a bit of a grind, then you get to the end & wonder why you bothered - the apathetic heroine didn't give a shit about anything/one & only had space for self-pity, so why should we care.
Oh! Peeta! Yep, the rest of the world can go to hell in a handbasket as long as I get my way over him, not because I love him but because I need him to prop up my self-esteem. Ugh!

This trilogy was so good and I am so sad it's over. I honestly don't know what took me so long to read all 3 books but I am sure glad I read them now, I am going to miss the characters, Katness, Gale, Peeta and Haymitch (I loved Haymitch) what a great book. SO much happened in this book that at first I kept thinking I think I'm going to stop reading it. I had a love hate relationship with what had happened to Peeta and then they want to kill off the main girl (Katness) and again I'm like this is

This wasn't my favorite in the series, but I gave it a higher score because the whole trilogy was fantastic. I have to remember that this is a dystopian series so I shouldn't expect a lovely, neat HEA but the romance addict in me can't help it sometimes.
I was reeling from all of the deaths because, man, people were dying left and right in this thing. And it hurt. It also hurt that Katniss had her head up her rear end for most of the book. I'm glad she figured out though how to play the game. It' ...more

So this was a hard book to rate, because I liked it, it was okay. I love how it wasn't yet again let's go back and have another hunger games, that was a plus. I was dreading that. The whole time reading I kept on thinking this is going to be a book that the ending will make or break it, and sadly it broke it. I was let down by the end, it felt as if she was losing steam in writing it. The best thing about the ending was Buttercup and Katness bonding. ...more

This book is the third in The Hunger Games trilogy and this review WILL contain spoilers for both The Hunger Games (Book 1) and Catching Fire (Book 2). So skip over this if you've managed to avoid the series so far. You really should read the books, though. : )
