Since I am a Jodi Picoult fan, it isn't surprising that I liked this book. Since I am very interested in special education, it isn't surprising that I liked this book. Since I like good character development, it isn't surprising that I liked this book. She spends a lot of time explaining Asperger's Syndrome. I really enjoyed this book but that was no surprise to me as I like Jodi Picoult's style and the way she develops the characters and relationships.
This is the story of a young man with Asperger's Syndrome who is being tutored by a young life skills student. She is later found dead and he is arrested for her murder.
It also looks at the affect on his Mum, Dad & Brother and how they live there lives to accomodate Jacob's Asperger's.
Written with sensitivity and warmth I would highly recommend House

I very much enjoyed the latest from my favorite author. I got sucked into the story and the characters right away and the book kept me guessing until the end.

I love most Picoult books, and this one wasn't one of those few exceptions. Court case with difficult issue at its heart, told from multiple perspectives -- an excellent book. My only disappointment was in that I was able to figure out the ending before Jodi got there -- but that may just be a hazard of reading a lot of her books. On the upside, even after figuring it out, I still enjoyed the remainder of the story as it unfolded. ...more
