I can't believe I waited twelve years to read House Rules, but I am SO glad I finally got around to it! This is definitely one of her best novels. I loved all the different perspectives, including Jacob's, and learning more about Asperger's syndrome. I also liked all the lists that Jacob kept sharing.

There were so many nuances throughout this novel and I kept questioning what really happened, even though I had some hunches of my own. The level of detail and the genuine dialogue brought the stor

Would have been 5 stars, but I felt cheated by the abrupt ending.
But, as always Picoult delivers a well-researched, well developed, thought provoking novel. Would love to know how she finds her topics, especially since her new book sounds like her most controversial yet.

Jodi Piccoult is one my favorite authors. Her books are compelling thought provoking and incredibly insightful. Her last 4 books have been particularly sad. This one stars an autistic boy who is accused of murder. Wow.

Excellent Picoult, as usual. Even more poignant since, while reading, I found out that I could relate really well to the main character.

Great book of course. The characters were great and the story was intriquing. Of course I figured out the mystery part fairly early into the book, but it was still a good read.
