Very easy reading book - I enjoyed the story. I did however start confusing characters - having to take a minute to straighten them out in my mind. Mixing time lines and going back and forth sometimes confuses me. Who is Waldo's parents? Who is Alice married to - who is Mimi married to? Which wife is gone? No idea why that was happening to me - it is not like there are an overabundance of characters. I just had to think thru the lineage each time.

A very sad and moving story. It's told through varying timelines - jumping around a bit to give you different perspectives of certain bit points in each players life. Some are the kids, some are the adults and they all touch each other's lives in small ways. It's all a big circle. And it was a sweet and sad. There are brief mentions of the pandemic in here, as it sweeps in to 2020, but it's small mentions and doesn't overwhelm the story at all. ...more
