Me Before You is a very different book, the kind of book I normally don´t read, first it is adult fiction and the YA books are still more my cup of tea, second it revolves around a very very controversial topic and to be honest I don´t like to read stories where I suspect the author might use the book and this fictional events to influence my view and opinion on certain things. If I want to make my mind about something I read real facts and not a story that someone created with the advantage of manipulating the way things happened but I kept watching videos about people talking about how wonderful this book was and then I read the synopsis and I was hooked and intrigued and I read it and WOW.

This sneaky book was an emotional ride for me, I of course cried my eyes out at the end because who on earth can´t contain tears at those moments but in several parts of the story my eyes were blurry and silent tears streamed down my face, especially at the beginning because I put myself in Will´s place and my initial reaction was crying because the thing that happened to him is the worst thing that could happen to me ever. Even when the book was not told from his POV I felt very related to him because deep down I am convinced that I would have had the same reactions in the same situation he was. I understand the things he did completely.

Lou was such a nice narrator, I enjoyed her voice, the way things changed for her and the way she started to view life the more the book progressed.

The relationship between Lou and Will was such an special thing to read about. If someone asks me if this book is a romance book, my answer is going to be No, because for me it wasn´t, it was a love story but not a romance book, it was something more than that, an understanding between two human beings that changed them in more ways that I can tell.

About the controversial topic, Jojo Moyes had a very strong opinion about it, she demonstrated it through the whole book and I completely agree with it, so it was not a problem for me, I feel that someone who thinks in another way might have a problem with the story but the better way to find out is reading this heartbreaking beautiful book.

And now I can´t wait to live the rest of my life… ...more
