Collen Hoover, how dare you! You did it again! I feel hopeless it´s over, finished. I am a butterflying crying mess! I absolutely love the letters! I adore Daniel! I´ve read This Girl and Walking disaster so I expected something similar. But no, you managed impossilbe. The same story that wasn´t the same at all.

I am not sure if I can get through this review without crying, this was a fantastic book. Colleen is the queen of telling her wonderful stories in another point of view; she did it when she wrote This Girl and now she has done it again with Losing Hope. When I read Hopeless I thought Holder was so sexy and sweet, I fell in love with him even more after this book. First let me say, without spoiling it for anyone, reading about him going into his sister’s bedroom was heartbreaking, I swear I sat o I am not sure if I can get through this review without crying, this was a fantastic book. When I read Hopeless I thought Holder was so sexy and sweet, I fell in love with him even more after this book. First let me say, without spoiling it for anyone, reading about him going into his sister’s bedroom was heartbreaking, I swear I sat on the couch with tears running down my face and my mouth wide open in shock. His letters to Les add so much to this book, they cover so many feelings, and they match my feelings most of the time, sometimes he is angry, confused, sad, showing humor when he writes Happy Deathiversary. One of the main additions I have to say that I was thrilled with was Daniel, Holders best friend, I love him, he is hilarious, passionate, loyal, and a great friend. The scene in the cafeteria when he announces Holder is here, let’s have a Q&A session, I was laughing so much. Then the names he comes up with, dickweed, buttshark, and whisker biscuit. We found out why Holder went to live with his father for awhile; I liked seeing this side of the story, what all he had to go through, what his family went through. We got to read about his nightmares about Hope, the trip to Disneyland when he thought he heard Hope calling for him. It was amazing reading the grocery store scene in Holder’s point of view, his raw emotions when he thinks he sees Hope, the one part after he sees her ID where it reads “A wave of disappointment crashes around me, swallowing me up. Drowning me. I feel like I’m losing her all over again.” My heart broke again; it breaks so many times over an over again throughout this book. Of course reading again about the growing relationship between Holder and Sky is just as wonderful as before, they are perfect together, yes there are ups and downs, misunderstandings, and mean text lol but the love between them is so precious. The times with them lying in her bed but him refusing to kiss her is so hot, even though they don’t have sex it is still, wow. How Colleen writes she makes her readers feel how intense their connection is, how passionate they are, and how much they need each other. To read about him seeing the bracelet on her wrist from his point of view was difficult, this was the moment that he knew Sky was Hope and everything in her life was going to change. To read all that he went through emotionally with this information over the next 4 weeks was tough, him weighing the pros and cons, trying to do what was right. Then a huge shocker, Holder discovers something that rocks his world and he has to see Sky, this part of the story just had me crying so hard and loving them so much as a couple. He crawls through her bedroom window and crawls into bed with her, wraps his arms around her and pulls her close, she says “I’m so mad at you”, he then says “I know, Sky” pulls her closer and says “I know”. My favorite part he says “I know you’re mad at me,” I say, running my hand down to her neck. “I need you to be mad at me, Sky. But I think I need you to still want me here with you even more.” Then she says “I am mad at you, Holder,” she says. “But no matter how mad I’ve been, I never for one second stopped wanting you here with me.” I fell apart, crying so hard I could not see anymore of the words, I swear my heart hurt. Then it happens, they go to his house, and everything changes, Holder’s worse nightmare, he tells her everything and the whole time he is reliving this it is so sad and you can just feel his guilt, and her devastation. Later she awakens from a nightmare that uncovers the truth that the other person she loves has lied to her all of her life. They leave and go to Austin to get away and so she can see her childhood home, this visit is so difficult. When she gets to confront the person that wrecked so many lives it is not handled how you might think, Colleen decided to do things a little different and has Sky seek out certain answers that she feels she needs to move forward. Some information that comes from this confrontation just wrecks my heart, I knew what was coming because I read Hopeless but to read how Holder reacted first hand, wow. Then what happens next is the coward’s way out and they need to leave right away, how they react to each other after this confrontation is loving, tender, and beautiful, all I can say is when they are in the shower, it crushes me what Holder is going through and I think he is the best boyfriend and brother ever. When they return home Sky decides if any changes are needed to her living situation, Holder reads the letter from his sister, the things she revealed in this letter blew me away, I was so angry about the one thing and felt for her and his mother in regards to the other thing, crazy, crazy. Loved how this book wraps everything up, it is great how Holder’s mother reacts when she finds out that Holder’s girlfriend has been Hope this whole time and the relationship they end up with is wonderful. Then getting to read about what plans they have for the future is fantastic and how Colleen decided to end the book with Holder writing the final letter to his sister stating “I honestly thought I’d always be hopeless, but I find hope every single day. And sometimes I find her at night, too…on Skype. I love you. Dean” When I read Hopeless and left my review at the end of that review I wrote this sentence and I am going to write it again here because I feel exactly the same way about this book. Colleen Hoover delivers another AWESOME book! When I first heard about the book from Holder's POV I was excited, but then I started reading other author's books from the male POV and was disappointed. It was the SAME exact story, just a few changes here and there! THAT WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR COLLEEN HOOVER, OBVIOUSLY! Damn damn damn this author really knows how to write, I was completely consumed while reading and my heart was devastated at times and I ugly cried..........just wow I will remember these beautiful books for a long time
