I loved this book, it was heart-wrenching but at the same time it was endearing, had a powerful message, and was romantic. What Kacey had to experience was horrific. The author describing her nightmares, no wonder she is a mess. You can feel her sadness and you can tell she is only living because of her sister Livie, I think she would have given up years ago because at the start of this book she seems half dead as it is. Then to top everything off they get stuck with terrible relatives. I love h I loved this book, it was heart-wrenching but at the same time it was endearing, had a powerful message, and was romantic. Then to top everything off they get stuck with terrible relatives. I love how Kacey fiercely protects her sister and wants all the best for her and she will do anything to make that happen. When they go to Miami the book starts to lighten up and once she visits the laundry room things seem to perk up for her when sexy Trent appears. I like how strong Kacey is, how she can take care of herself against anyone trying to harm her. I love the unexpected twist of Storm, at first I thought oh great a bimbo that she will compete against for Trent's attention but she ended up being wonderful and a great addition to this book. Livie is way beyond her years in maturity and she comes across so kind-hearted. In one part of the book she finally stands up to her sister and tells her how it is and more or less reminds her that she too suffered great loss and I thought it was about time. The author introduces us to many other characters in this book and I loved them all, and felt that they all played a pivotal role in the book. I will say halfway into the book I suspected where the story was going and what was going to come out and even though I was right about many things there was quite the twist to how the author brought this out into the light and how long some of the things had been going on was a shocker. I cried so much once this all came out, it was devastating, I was so worried about what direction the author was going to take the story and she did not let me off easy, she dragged it out close to the end and I was half tempted to slam my kindle down and not finish because it didn't look like it was going to end the way I wanted but I am glad I stuck it out because what she came up with was beautiful. I will say I wish we could have witnessed more of their relationship in the end, enjoyed them together more but maybe the author lets us visit with them in the next book written about Livie?
