Jamie did a wonderful job of telling us the story through Travis' eyes! I always love a great POV change, and this is a great example of how it's done. I was just as interested as I was when reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time. It had been so long since I read Beautiful Disaster I forgot how much I love Travis and Abby. I enjoyed reading Walking Disaster because there were many parts I always wondered what Travis was thinking or doing and this was perfect. I had Beautiful Disaster opened at the same time I read this so I could go back and forth when I couldnt remember what Abby had done during certain situations and I wanted to get the whole picture. I'm actually glad I read Beautiful Disaster months ago. I enjoyed it, but I loved Walking Disaster even more. What a rare gem to be able to get into not only ANY male character's head- but Travis Maddox's dysfunctional, complex, F'd up way of thinking.

“Once she kissed me, my heart slowed, and every muscle in my body relaxed. How much I needed her terrified me. I couldn’t imagine love was like this for everyone, or men would be walking around like lunatics the second they were old enough to noti I'm actually glad I read Beautiful Disaster months ago. I enjoyed it, but I loved Walking Disaster even more. What a rare gem to be able to get into not only ANY male character's head- but Travis Maddox's dysfunctional, complex, F'd up way of thinking.

Oh, how I loved living his POV!

And Pidge wasn't easy. As Travis' dead mother put it she 'was the one worth fighting for'...

“You can’t tell me what to do anymore, Travis! I don’t belong to you!”
Her words ignited a deep anger inside me. I stomped to the bed, planted my hands on the mattress on each side of her thighs, and leaned into her face.
“Well, I belong to you!” I screamed. I put so much force behind my words, I could feel all the blood rush to my face. Abby met my glare, refusing to even flinch. I looked at her lips, panting. “I belong to you,” I whispered, my anger fading as desire took over.”

And I could have happily ended right here:

“This is it,” I whispered. “What?” “The moment. When I watch you sleeping . . . that peace on your face? This is it. I haven’t had it since before my mom died, but I can feel it again.” I took another deep breath and pulled her closer. “I knew the second I met you that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you.”

But if I would have stopped reading there I would have missed the brilliant epilogue that was such a scrumptious peek into the future.

Thank you, Ms. McGuire, for keeping me up late, sitting with me on my lunch break and making me sneak my iPad under my office desk. Thank you for your imagination & lovely, complicated characters. Thank you for helping me FEEL every spectrum of emotion possible. Well done! ...more

Loved Travis' point of view! I would have loved to have read Travis' thoughts at the club when he & Shep were pulling the guys off the dance floor for dancing with the girls. But overall, Wow! There was soooooo much more to Travis than was represented in first book. THE EPILOGUE=WOWZA! I fell in love with Travis "Mad Dog" Maddox all over again! ...more

3.5 stars. I liked it , but I have to say I was a little disappointed and expected more. My favorite parts were the beginning and the end. I felt like most parts were just reading BD over again but from Travis's POV. Don't get me wrong, the book was good, just not exactly what I was expecting. I loved falling in love with Travis and Abby all over again and think that Jamie nailed Travis. I hope we get a glimpse of their lives together....well done Jamie! ...more
