What Members Thought
This is a lovely, dear book with some creativity and interesting ways to think about goodness, community, and diversity. I'm even ok with the reduced focus on plot. But this feels like a book without much real depth. The characters lack complexity despite being very likable. They seem pulled from some common tropes (the FUN ADHD genuis who wears wild clothes, the loving doctor who has a tragic past, the brave captain who has a forbidden love, our naive main character who is somehow instantly bel

Initial Impressions: I love this book. I love the characters and the relationships. I can't think of anything negative to say about this book at this moment. I'm still too close to finishing it and I'm basking in the wonderfulness of this book. It's just such an enjoyable book. I can't wait to read the sequel.
