I ended up giving An Alaskan Christmas 3 stars. Unfortunately this is an instance of going in with different expectations. When I read a Christmas book I want it to be throwing up Christmas and brimming with Christmas cheer. I’m not sure about the decision to have the word Christmas in the title. I think titled differently I would have enjoyed this book more. It was an interesting story of the Alaskan wilderness, search and rescue teams, and a hot romance between Erika and Reed. An Alaskan Christmas 🎿

When I saw this book all over my FBTBS group (love you ladies!!!!) I just hadddd to get my hands on it and I am so glad that I did!

I love the idea of childhood friends reconnecting and seeing a sibling in a new light. I thought that Cassie was extremely generous in letting her friend stay with her after not connection for 10 years. Lots of 🔥🔥 between Reed and Ericka and love their connection. ⁣

What I didn’t like is that there is minimum Christmas in the book. I am hoping their will be a story between Cassie and Tank who sounds like a great story to tell. ⁣

I’m not normally one to pick up holiday reads, but I was looking for some Christmas cheer so I decided to give this one a shot! I picked this one up as an impromptu buddy read. I loved being able to discuss Reed and Erika’s steamy relationship with them. The banter in this book was top notch and I found myself laughing out loud multiple times. I had heard such wonderful things about this book, so I had to read it promptly ... because who doesn't love a good Christmas romance!?
