Christine (Queen of Books)
This was my third Christina Lauren, and I felt like it was the best written of the three - right from the beginning, the writing just felt stronger. This one's told in dualing perspectives, the past and the present, from the main character (Macy)'s point of view. Macy has an intense job (critical-care pediatrics resident) which I totally loved. (Honestly, I'd liked to have heard a bit more about her job/work life!)

CL and the back cover label this one their first women's fiction. I'm fuzzy on the

Read this book over the weekend and LOVED it! This is the story of Macy and Elliot, lovers of words, told through two alternating timelines. One follows the beginning of their relationship, when they were teens. And the other follows them present day, after not seeing each other for 11 years. I fell even more in love with Christina Lauren’s writing after reading Love and Other Words. They made me want to have an Elliot in my life. I feel like I missed out in high school and college by not having a best friend like Elliot.

This book was a fast, sweet read. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a little comedy, a little romance and a lot of heart.

Christina Lauren does not disappoint! They are masters! I loved this book! It made me think what I could forgive and how one choice can forever change your life. I loved Elliot, he is so patient and knows what he wants. My heart broke for Macy, especially at the end. I love how they always ask each other their favorite word and how they had their own little space in her closet.

Love and Other Words was a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me. ⁣

There was just something about Macy and Elliot that had me rooting so hard for them. And when I’m emotionally invested in characters, it’s highly likely the book is going to make me cry. I was very emotional reading Love and Other Words. There’s something about missed connections or almost missing out on love that just gets to me. Add in the wonderful writing from Christina Lauren and suddenly I’m an emotional mess. I’ve cried during at leas
