My Half Night Stand was a fun quick read. And though not my favorite book by Christina Lauren, I still found myself captivated by the story nonetheless. Millie and her four guy friends, Reid, Ed, Alex, and Chris, need dates for an upcoming benefit at the college. To achieve this they all decide to give online dating a try. Through a few twists of events Millie and Reid end up being matched to each other, except Reid doesn’t know.

This was my first Christina Lauren book, and I loved it so much I have read six others by this writing team since finishing My Favorite Half-Night Stand! It was compulsively readable (I read the entire 400 pages in one day, if that gives you any idea how serious I am on that point). The premise of the book was very fun, and the characters were so interesting and nuanced. I did see some kickback on one aspect of the plot (that it seemed to be a "catfishing" scheme), and while I agree that the bas

I LOVED the premise of My Favorite Half-Night Stand. Millie, a criminology professor at UC Santa Barbara, and her four platonic male best friends and colleagues, need to find dates for an upcoming event. After a drunken “half-night stand” with Reid, Millie starts to question how platonic her feelings really are and agrees to join the boys in signing up for an online dating app. Unfortunately for Millie, she’s better at writing th ...more

I got to read an ARC of this book months ahead of its release and it was so good. This is a quintessential Christina Lauren rom-com.
This book dives into the world of online dating.
Millie is best friends with 4 guys. However she is closest to Reid who she is also attracted. Here is the thing Millie keeps her cards closely and she keeps her relationship on the surface. Reid wants to break through the wall but he seems at a loss. One night after a few drinks, Reid and Mlllie hook up.

I loved this book. I thought it was funny and timely. I caught myself laughing out loud several times over the course of the book.
I fell in love with Reid and Millie. I was rooting for them. I even caught myself yelling at the book over some of their decisions a few times.

Omg all the feels. I was laughing, crying, and yelling at the characters. It was so damn good! I did not want this to end!! It was real life situations and real life problems.

The dynamic duo does it again! Christina Lauren books have quickly become an auto-read for me and this was another win!
Millie is a guys-gal. She is a brilliant professor and surrounds herself with male colleagues, turn friends. Emotionally, however, she’s a closed book. When her group of friends make a pact to join an online dating site with a goal of parenting up in time for a big university event, will she be able to finally open up? Not before making a spectacular mess of things!
