I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH.⁣

Mariana Zapata is the queen of slow burns, but this one has just enough flirting and banter to keep things moving. I loved how there were little ways that they showed they were into each other that they each noticed.⁣

There is an age gap, but it wasn’t a big deal, just a few jokes and the awkward childhood tales and it was completely realistic.⁣

I also loved the portrayal of women’s professional sports. There was no glamour, the girls didn’t all get along, and many hel

So here’s the thing. I started reading this book and I almost put it down. But I have heard such good things about this slow burn romance from romance lovers that I trust. So about 150 pages in, I skipped to the last (about) 100 pages and continued to read. Thing is, I really love these characters and their love story. But this book is so wordy and waaay too long. I could be wrong but I feel like I got the most out of this book by reading it the way I did. Since it is slow burn, I missed none of ...more

This may be the best slow-burn contemporary romance I have read. HolyMoly, what do I even read after this??? Sooooo good. Chemistry is on fire. Quick banter. Not quite enemies, to best friends, to lovers. Perfection.

Before I read Kulti, I knew I loved a good slow burn and I thought I had read some pretty slow moving romances. I was wrong. I’m a sucker for a good sports romance, despite the fact I don’t know anything about sports in real life, and I loved that Kulti centered around women’s soccer. Sal Casillas is fantastic heroin

This book was sllllooooowwwww burn. And I did really enjoy it, but there were little things that bothered me along the way. Her writing is great and the characters were great but those little things brought my rating down to a 3.5.

The slowest of all slow burns. A very enjoyable read that played out very differently from many other romances that I’ve read. There was a couple times that I wondered if it actually even was a romance novel, but it definitely is in the last 100 pages lol. Lots of good laughs in this book
