This one had such a good start with ex-best friends, enemies to lovers and forced proximity until a trope I positively hate popped up halfway through the story. It's definitely a case of me and not this book. I just wish the contrived conflict or issue keeping the lovers apart came from something else.

I love the build up of the friendship again and the tension that was there. I didn’t see a part of the book coming but I honestly loved it. Sometimes I’m not a fan of those twists.

This was a story with a lot of angst. I really enjoyed the backstory between Justin and Amelia and what led to their broken friendship. Having them staying at Amelia's grandmother's home and seeing them rekindle their friendship was a bit frustrating for me.
This wasn't a love triangle necessarily but it felt like it. I really enjoyed seeing Justin and Amelia and Bea. Justin's won my heart then.

Three sentence review: This is friends-to-enemies-to-lovers slow burn and when it finally started to burn...it went 💥🔥🔥 This was a compelling read/listen with some fascinating plot twists. At times it felt like too many twists being thrown in there, but everything came together in the end. 3.5/5
