I love Christina Lauren books. There’s something so whimsical and hilarious about them. The Unhoneymooners might be my favorite of theirs yet.
The Unhoneymooners follows Olive, the unlucky twin, who after being miraculously spared from a massive bout of food-poisoning at her sister’s wedding, finds herself on her sister’s free honeymoon in Maui. There’s only one problem, she has to share the trip with her sworn enemy, Ethan, the best man. The stringent rules of the all-expenses paid honeymoon req ...more

I LIKE Christina Lauren. Their books are fun and enjoyable. I was thrilled to get an e-arc of The Unhoneymooners. And then I just...did not read it. I started it multiple times...and put it down. I motivated myself to read it pub. week and instead found myself texting whoever would listen about how I just WASN'T feeling it.

☀️ 4 star Book review! ☀️ Christina Lauren has become one of my auto read authors (well the duo that is!). They always manage to write fun romances with great characters, and The Unhoneymooners is no exception.

I am such a fan of Christina Lauren. I loved The Unhoneymooners. This writing duo knows how to write a book that will keep me glued to my chair for hours. I literally only got up from the couch to eat dinner and then I went back to Olive and Ethan.
I love that you don't know where Christina or Lauren is writing. They make it seamless. So seamless that some people don't realize that this is a duo and not just one person.
Olive and Ethan had just the right amount of tension. I loved their banter. ...more

Olive and Ami are identical twins, but they couldn't be more different. Ami is lucky at everything & is always winning contests, which is how she was able to put on her entire wedding. Olive is incredibly unlucky - she lost her roommate, lost her job, and has to now spend an entire day with her arch nemesis, Ethan (Ami's soon to be brother in law). Olive and Ami are identical twin sisters. On the day of Ami's wedding, the entire party gets food poisoning. Not wanting to waste a honeymoon that she worked very hard to win, Ami sends her sister and her husband's brother, Ethan in their place. There's a problem, though. Olive and Ethan can't stand each other and now they have to pretend to be married for the next ten days. At least they'll be in Hawaii.

4 1/2 I Loved this story. It follows the self proclaimed unlucky twin, Olive, and her nemesis, Ethan. It has some of my favorite elements which are enemies to lovers and a good slow burn. It came with a side of laughs, awkward moments and one big nosy Mexican family.

I received The Unhoneymooners in my August #busybitchesbookswap and I was so excited to get my hands on another Christina Lauren book. This story begins with Ami and Dane's wedding. Dane's older brother--Ethan--and Ami's twin sister--Olive--have always had a heart-pounding, eyes-narrowed disdain for one another, but they're now forced together as best man and maid of honor.

Are you looking for a romance book that:
1. Will make you legit laugh out loud. Not just think in your head “oh that’s funny” but actually release a loud cackle that startles your dog?
2. Won’t make you blush when your Mother-in-Law asks to read it next?
3. Transports you to a tropical location and gives you major travel envy?
4. Has a cover that is super adorable and not just a large photo of abs? I mean who doesn’t love abs but a little awkward to take the the pool ya know?
5. Pairs perfectly with ...more

I LOVE CLo. I do. Beautiful Stranger led me down the rabbit hole and I’ve read every book they’ve written.
I’m so sad to say, this may be my least favorite. It just didn’t click for me. I didn’t connect or even enjoy Olive as a character especially during the first few chapters. I didn’t understand Ethan at all.
That being said: it’s still CLo. I still love them. There were parts that made me laugh out loud. I actually adored the dynamic of the extended family.

Loved it so much! This is only my second Christina Lauren read and it will definitely not be my last. This book had a couple of my favourite tropes: enemies to lovers and fake relationship. There were a number of "laugh out loud" moments (one I had to read to my husband as he was wondering what was so dang funny). The snark, the banter, the names they call each other! Oh my, what a blast this was to read. Highly recommend!

I love this duo and don’t know why I waited so long to read this book. I listened to this and there were so many moments that I literally laughed out loud. Olive and Ethan was such a great enemies to lovers couples I’ve read in a long time. The banter between them were the best!! Plus this book is based in Hawaii which makes it especially special for this island gal that is missing her family and friends.

RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

REVIEW: This book was one of the first books I read back in January and 100% got me back into reading! I laughed out loud multiple times, and absolutely loved Olive’s quirkiness, humor, and one liners. Ethan was just as entertaining while bringing that smoldering sexiness everyone looks for in a book boyfriend.
