I love Christina Lauren books. There’s something so whimsical and hilarious about them. The Unhoneymooners might be my favorite of theirs yet.
The Unhoneymooners follows Olive, the unlucky twin, who after being miraculously spared from a massive bout of food-poisoning at her sister’s wedding, finds herself on her sister’s free honeymoon in Maui. There’s only one problem, she has to share the trip with her sworn enemy, Ethan, the best man. The stringent rules of the all-expenses paid honeymoon req ...more

Y'all, this writing duo has officially climbed into my favorites list - I could not get enough of this book or the two MCs! The plot has some of the best tropes: hate to love & fake relationship ... and omg the BANTER. I was constantly cackling to myself throughout the entire book. My favorite part was the names they called one another - at one point she calls him Eragon instead of Ethan and I actually snorted.

I adored this book and read it in 2 sittings and under 24 hours. It's freaking hilarious, like cackle out loud kind of funny. The steam is pretty minimal so it would be a good book for a romance newbie. The story makes up for any lack of steam. Olive's family and their dynamic was probably one of my favorite parts about the book. Seeing how overbearing yet loving they were made my heart swell. A must read for any romance lover and fans of Christina Lauren.

I am such a fan of Christina Lauren. I loved The Unhoneymooners. This writing duo knows how to write a book that will keep me glued to my chair for hours. I literally only got up from the couch to eat dinner and then I went back to Olive and Ethan.
I love that you don't know where Christina or Lauren is writing. They make it seamless. So seamless that some people don't realize that this is a duo and not just one person.

The fantastic duo of Christina Lauren have done it again! The Unhoneymooners is a perfectly fun and sexy contemporary romance.
Olive and Ethan have developed a years long loathing for each other, even as their respective siblings have fallen in love and celebrated a marriage. When they are the last two standing, following a disastrous wedding buffet incident, Olive and Ethan bugrudgingly take the unfortunate couple’s places on the luxury Hawaiian honeymoon, lest it go to waste. Well shit, Christina Lauren does it again! I had high hopes going into this & damn, they were exceeded! I read this book over a vacation, which was no Maui, but it was a great week off of work & a perfect read to escape in. I loved these characters and was cackling at the banter within the first chapter. I am such a huge fan of enemies to lovers plus the added bonus of a strong sister bond. YES PLEASE!!

Sigh. I picked this book up on vacation and for 80% of the book it was exactly what I wanted. I was laughing out loud at some of the great moments between Olive and Ethan. I could see it as a great romcom movie.
And then that ending. No spoilers but I hate where it went. For me, this was a 5 star book with a 1 star ending so I’m landing at 3 stars.
7/1 edit: revised to 4 stars. I really loved most of this book so much. A few small changes to the end and would have been 5 stars. The rating of 3 wa ...more

Being from Minnesota, I loved all the local references Lauren included in this novel! It made it so fun to hear about where I live through the eyes of this love story!
The Unhoneymooners was a laugh out loud book that I couldn’t put down. From the enemies to lovers to a fake marriage... what else would you want in a story? .

I was laughing during chapter 1 and the laughter didn’t stop there! This writing duo has the gift for making you laugh while reading, which I absolutely love. The banter between Olive and Ethan was amazing! The enemies to lovers trope is strong in this one! I loved watching Olive grow during the story while finding her place in the world. She has to choose between love and her sister which added more depth to the story. Although Ethan seems to be stuck up at first you can’t help but fall in love

I received The Unhoneymooners in my August #busybitchesbookswap and I was so excited to get my hands on another Christina Lauren book. This story begins with Ami and Dane's wedding. Dane's older brother--Ethan--and Ami's twin sister--Olive--have always had a heart-pounding, eyes-narrowed disdain for one another, but they're now forced together as best man and maid of honor.

I am obsessed with this book. OBSESSED, I tell ya! I devoured this book in one single day. The fake dating trope is always one of my favorites and this was executed perfectly with all the witty banter and clever comments (including HARRY POTTER REFERENCES). Par the course for Christina Lauren, it was laugh out loud hilarious. Olive is one of my new favorite characters and Ethan makes the perfect book boyfriend. The Hawaii setting was so fun. I just couldn’t get enough of it. I need more. Immedia

Loved it so much! This is only my second Christina Lauren read and it will definitely not be my last. This book had a couple of my favourite tropes: enemies to lovers and fake relationship. There were a number of "laugh out loud" moments (one I had to read to my husband as he was wondering what was so dang funny). The snark, the banter, the names they call each other! Oh my, what a blast this was to read. Highly recommend!

I love this duo and don’t know why I waited so long to read this book. I listened to this and there were so many moments that I literally laughed out loud. Olive and Ethan was such a great enemies to lovers couples I’ve read in a long time. The banter between them were the best!! Plus this book is based in Hawaii which makes it especially special for this island gal that is missing her family and friends.

I was so happy when I won an ARC of this book from Goodreads. I have had it sitting waiting for me calling my name and when I picked it up I was not disappointed. It brought heat and laughs and maybe a couple tears. CLo never disappoints and this book actually made me pick up like every book of theirs I can find! Get this now! Light fun summer read!
