✨ Thank you Berkley Romance and Edelweiss for providing a eARC in exchange for an honest review ✨
I absolutely fell in love with The Kiss Quotient when I read it almost a year ago. It was the first really steamy book I read in my romance book journey and, oh boy, was it steamy! Shoutout to Berkley for using a cute cover to lure me in, it totally worked.

I received an ARC from Edelweiss plus in exchange for an honest review.
Charming, hilarious, heart-felt novel. I almost had tears, several times.
Khai is a autistic guy (Michael's from The Kiss Quotient cousin) of Vietnamese origin. His mum goes to Vietnam and comes back with a bride. Meet Esme, hard-working, shy, poor, with a baby daughter and a father disappeared in California. However, I want to remind everyone of this upcoming treasure. I want to tell strangers at book stores that it’s coming. I want to buy copies for my friends and family. I just want to talk and talk more about it.
Add this to your tbr. Preorder it. Request your library order it. Get your hands on it.
It’s special.
It’s beyond special.
It’s singular in its perfection.

The Kiss Quotient was on my top ten reads last year so I had sky high expectations for The Bride Test. I did really enjoy the story, but it didn’t quite live up to the Kiss Quotient for me. I thought Khai and Esme had an adorable love story but I didn’t feel as connected to the characters as I wanted to. I did think Esme was a strong, determined, and resilient mother. I loved that the Author’s Note shared that Esme was largely based on Hoang’s own mother!

This book, like it's predecessor The Kiss Quotient, is a cute one. There isn't much depth to the story , but it is definitely an enjoyable read. It was endearing how Khai and Esme grew into a real relationship with each other. With him being autistic and her being an immigrant, they both needed time and effort to find their way. It was the sweetest part of the story.

Ah! Gush. The Bride Test has reached number 1 status of reads for 2019. I LOVED this! I enjoyed reading about Khai and Esme so much. The main characters were well developed and interestingly paired together. I enjoyed reading of Esme's experiences moving to the US from Vietnam and the struggle to help her family by leaving them. I loved reading how Khai interacts with his family, especially Quan, and learning to communicate with Esme and how to love.

The Bride Test was a delight! I went in to this novel with high expectations, having been a huge fan of Hoang's previous book, The Kiss Quotient. She absolutely delivered again!
This story is told in alternating POV between Khai and My/Esme. Khai is a man who is convinced that, due to having an ASD diagnosis, he does not have the capacity to love. He buries himself in work and physical fitness, and tells himself that this makes for a wholly satisfactory life. My is working in hotel housekeeping i ...more

Somehow this one had more steam than I remembered in The Kiss Quotient?? Anyhow - I think it's safe to say I preferred the The Kiss Quotient over The Bride Test (I think the story line of The Kiss Quotient was easier for me.) But I really grew to like these characters and the end was great.
Thank you to Edelweiss & Berkley for the opportunity to read and review this book before it's publication date! This is no way affected my review, opinions are my own.

Loved this book. It was so sweet and gave me all the feels!! I love that the characters are not run of the mill leading characters. They had their faults but were realistic. Can't reccomend this one enough for all the romance lovers out there.
