I have been on a huge romance kick lately and I can't get enough. This is one of the best romance books I have read in a while and I can't wait to read more by Elle Kennedy.

I loved The Deal. I devoured this book in one sitting over a 4 hour period of time.

The Deal is the first book in Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus romance series. Garrett Graham is in need of a tutor and Hannah Wells is one of the few people who passed the midterm. Hannah is desperate for her crush to notice her, and Garrett cannot go anywhere and not be noticed. Book Review: The Deal by Elle Kennedy

I'm still on a huge romance kick. Even better, I'm trying to get back into reading more series. Also, my buddy, Laura Yamin tells me hockey romances are the best. So, imagine my surprise when Lindsay & Jen picked a hockey romance series for our buddy read!

The Deal is a slow burn, hate to love romance. The banter between Garrett and "Welsey" is fun and witty and the friendships between the guys on the hockey team are endearing. The explicit scenes are steamy without being cheesy. But, the book isn't just steam. Both characters have obstacles from their past and they rely on each other to overcome them.

I’m not the intended audience for this book, but I still enjoyed it. It started a little slow, but picked up as it moved along. I enjoyed the characters and their banter. There were some moments I found genuinely funny and others that were sweet. A bit predictable, but still an enjoyable read.
