I really loved the gay relationship in this book. The story itself started out strong but I feel that it became weak as it went on. One of my favorite gay relationships in any book that I've read, and it's a pity that it's fiction. I gave Circe (by the same author) 4 stars so I have to give this one 3 because I found it less enjoyable. ...more

I was quite taken with this novel. It was more tender and gentle than I initially thought. Also, I can't resist a novel that is set in "The Illiad." The relationship between Achilles and Patroclus is explored beautifully. Her creative liberties paid off big time. ...more
