Shamsie was somewhat bold with this novel, and it pays off. Changing cities and narrators 5 times, she still manages to weave a story of family, loyalty, and fidelity. I was moved, shocked, and intrigued at different points. I liked the perspective not only the author gave, but that her characters gave as well.
