Loved it. It had a lot of elements that I like in romance novels, especially historicals. Gillian has been abused by her evil father and is then sent to marry Christopher, a lord with an evil reputation. She's terrified of him, cries constantly, considers escaping and doesn't know where to go, etc. Christopher was an incredible warrior before he was blinded and he doesn't want to make himself vulnerable to his new bride.
