I love all Mo Willem's books, and this one is no exception! It is fairly unique in that it is so interactive. The bus driver asks the reader/story audience to look after his bus for a while - with one important instruction - not to let the pigeon drive the bus. However, the pigeon proves to be very persistent!
I have read this book to Reception and Year 1 classes and it was great fun, with lots of laughter and opportunities for audience participation. I think this book would be enjoyed by EYFS and KS1 children. It is definitely one to be read aloud at storytime, or shared with parents at home, rather than an independent read.
Highly recommended.
