Freddie and the Fairy is a beautiful book, following the story of a fairy who uses a hearing aid! She gets muddled up with the wishes that Freddie asks for because he does not speak clearly enough. This book would be wonderful if you had a child in your class or school with a hearing impediment and you wanted to educate the other children on ways to help them in school! As always Julia Donaldson's writing is beautiful and it sends a caring and thoughtful message to those who read it.
Probably aimed at younger children, but could be appropriate if the situation arose in older primary years,
