Okay, this is me giving up on the Alanna books. I took a break after the last one before starting this on audio, but the whole series is just too neat and tidy for my liking. I'll try some other Tamora Pierce someday--recommendations welcome! ...more

An okay ending to a great series. It got confusing as Pierce was pulling all the threads together to reach the climax, and it bugged me that everybody had to be paired up at the end.
