Incredible story! This book weaves together what feels like almost personal accounts of each generational member of a Ghanaian family. I love the juxtaposition of the lineage who remained tribal in Ghana to that which was enslaved and shipped to the American South. The reader is encouraged to draw inferences and piece together the story from one generation to the next while also contrast the two arcs.
A perfect read for anyone who still questions the idea of white privilege - this book educates
