Excellent story set in WWII with two female lead characters. Female pilot/female spy, secret missions, French resistance, etc. Lots of detail about planes and pilots--I think I was able to stick with it, mainly because I was listening to the audio version. The historical background is interesting and the tension of the plot is ultimately fantastic, just a little buried at the start.
I loved this book! It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, combining an intense wartime tale of intrigue with a heart-warming story of an unlikely friendship. There were twists and turns that I never saw coming. Definitely a book I would recommend!
A great read honoring the women who participated in the winning of WWII. A relationship of two dear friends kept me riveted to the book. Plan to read Rose Under Fire by Wein.
