The prose was occasionally beautiful, but honestly it felt like he was trying to tell too many different stories at once. I also didn't find Elphaba to be the most lovable heroine. I had a hard time reconciling all of her actions with Maguire's theories on the fluidity of wickedness. Too much in too little time and detail- the book spans thirty years and draws to a shoddy and rushed conclusion. Not my favorite. ...more
