It took me a little while to get into this book. After a great first line - which you only fully appreciate after you have read the whole story - it starts out a little slow.

The first 100 pages we merely read the story of a childhood in the South of the 1930's. Six-years-old Scout lives with her father and her older brother Jem in Maycomb, Alabama.
