Shelves: classics, audiobooks

The first time I ever tried reading this, it was hard. The descriptions and old school American slang made me go to the dictionary every other page. So I put it aside.
Listening to the audiobook, narrated by Jake Gyllenhaal, made this book way smoother, easier to understand, and enjoyable.
Gatsby is a tragedy in the making and that’s certainly something you can feel from the start of the novel. I really enjoyed the audiobook experience, and maybe that’ll open me up to read the novel in the futur ...more
