this is the seq to Daughter of the Blood. You must read that one first or this one will make no sense at all. I even recommend reading them back to back so you can keep up with the many characters. The story was perfect in every way. There is more humor in this one. The relationship building is the focus of most of this book and is done well. There is not as much sexual violence in this book as the last one but this are some very sad parts and there are still a lot of characters to keep track of. The story itself is extremely interesting and pulls you in.
