I have seen this play several times; years ago I saw a local theatrical company put on a very impressive production. I decided to read the play because there are still so many questions I have about the core meaning that Beckett was trying to convey. I'm afraid this is one of those terrible, wonderful books. It's terrible because it's the story of two people who are lost and unhappy and confused. It's wonderful because something about the story feels deeply true.
