Such an amazing part of history that I'd somehow never heard anything about until I read this book. So inspiring and heartwarming to read about how people came together to ensure our troops had books to read while fighting the war, and so encouraging to read about what a profound impact those books had on the troops. ...more

Quit around page 117. Interesting look at the role of books for soldiers in WWII and the rise of paperback books. Needed some editing - the history wasn't smooth and felt repetitive. Not something I know much about so lots of new information and perspectives. ...more
