I have finally finished this series and now I'm crying out for more, but there is NO more! and I am really sad :( So, I should write a review, telling you why I'm sad, but all I can come up with is a plea to the author in the form of song lyrics. Hence, I decided to pick one of Queen's songs and alter it to fit how I feel and what I want:

This is one of the best series I have ever read. Never have I been so emotionally pushed into places beyond the comfort I know or ever felt so intensely connected with characters like I was during my journey into an unknown and oh so unexpected world like Alexandr Voinov’s Dark Soul Series. I finished this 5 book series too quickly. I wish there were more stories within the 'Dark Soul' saga because I have become COMPLETELY intrigued with Silvio (ehem, infatuated??)
The 5 book series was a fast read. I am thankful they were all out already when I read them, so I could just buy the next installment as soon as I was done with its predecessor.

Vol. 5 contains the federal investigation into Stefano’s crime syndicate. And wow, does this volume ratchet the tension up higher than ever before. US attorney Stebastiano Beccaria is an unbelievably complex ‘villain,’ and his vendetta against Stefano is more personal than professional. Their conversation in a hotel lobby is teetering on a knife’s edge, and the threats and lies underplaying their words is utterly thrilling.

This was a brilliant ending to an unusual and very entertaining series! I didn't think there actually could be an ending both satisfying and appropriate, but I was absolutely proven wrong here!
I loved the increasing tension in this series and especially in this book. Although every installment is made up of several short stories, there's a story arc over the whole series that connects every detail and aspect. I am so passionate about this series, that my review is going to be somewhat silly. I am not going to tell you about the story, except to say it is about the Mafia(one of my favorite subjects), a hitman, politics, and all types of love.
It was a gritty, violent, romantic, passionate, thrilling, page turner. Silvio and Stefano can come home with me anytime.
This was an exhilarating experience, one I plan to revisit many times.

Yeah! I liked the way this ended. All in all, this is an entertaining series.
