I'm riveted. Both Silvio and Stefano are intrigiung characters. I need more.

Why did that send a tingle through his body? What was it about Spadaro that made Stefano want to hit him, kick him, even shoot him? Why did he want to hear the man groan in pain? Why did that turn him on?

Damn...my first m/m and it's this. Not that I'm complaining. It was pretty damn hot. And Silvio...*drool Mmm...I think it's pretty clear I'm not thinking straight right now. I was actually pretty weirded out when I found out that I liked some of the screwed-up scenes but oh well, it was a good, short, hot first m/m read so I'm kinda happy. Dark Soul, Volume 1 by Aleksandr Voinov totally blew me away!!!
I have not been a fan of m/m books and have only begun reading this genre after recommendations by GR members. This book was mentioned on one of the groups I am a member of (thank you Lisa T!!) and I am so glad she did and (thank you Cindi for loaning me your copy).

Liked it but it was too short for me to say much more than that. Silvio intrigued me but there wasn't enough of him for me to say I loved him as a character. This felt like an introduction/teaser to the rest of the story to get me hooked (which worked). ...more

- Short #2: Dark Secret: 4 stars

I really enjoyed these two dark, intense short stories, a lot.

Silvio Spadaro is a very intriguing, fascinating character. Outwardly he appears to be this cold, dangerous, almost inhuman, soulless--and maybe even insane--killer, respected, or rather feared, by most of the family (the mafia, that is).
But in the end of Dark Secret, the 2nd story, we see that he isn' all that, really.
