If you have a cute little curios dog like I do, NEVER leave your laptop on couch while you write a review unattended!

so now I will keep it short because I am tired...

This was my first book/series I read from this author. My friend even prepared me with "light" m/m literature so I could read any book from this author.

So I decided to start with this one and honestly I am simply at loss of words.

I don't care much for summaries in reviews, so instead I'll talk about how this book made me FEEL. It will be like a good therapy session. For me. Not sure how you'll entertain yourself.

After hearing this author's books can be dark and difficult, I was surprised how much and how often I was touched while reading Dark Soul, an accumulation of moments that got to me, unsettled me, and made my heart ache.

Bisexuality was handled with respect, not sensationalized (although some might disagree.) Line

Silvio rides his bike into Stefano's life and captures his attentions from that moment on. Married mafia boss, Stefano would like to believe he's straight but Silvio makes him question that choice.

Can I say I loved this series? Not a big mafia reader although I watched the Sopranos and we know what happened to gay characters on that show.

Both Silvio and Stefano had their own moral centers and ethics. (view spoiler)

I LOVED SILVIO AAAAAAAA LLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT! He's one of my top 5 favourite characters of all time. I can't stop thinking about his sexy ass. I don't know, maybe it's me, but I love the strong, sexy slim men who are both da ...more

There are not enough words in any language to describe how much I love this book.
Second time around, just as great as the first time. Looks like we are going steady. :)

“Dark Soul” is a compilation of five novellas. The protagonist is Stefano Marino, a mob boss. When I started reading this I thought it would be dark dark dark. But it isn’t really (or maybe I’m just jaded?). Marino is a bit of a softy, and even as he orders people to their deaths, he comes off as kinda sweet. Okay, maybe I’m a little twisted.

Silvio Spadaro is another matter entirely. He’s an assassin for hire, with a heart made of cold steel. Spadaro was dark and damaged. I read another book whe
